Institute of Fine Arts, humanities, and social sciences

Institute of Fine Arts and the Social Sciences and Humanities was founded in 2011 by merging several departments of the two faculties of Irkutsk State Technical University:
Department of design, art and monumental and decorative art (Faculty of Fine Arts)
Department of Psychology, advertising and journalism, sociology and social work, history, and philosophy (Faculty of Law, Sociology and Media).
The Institute solves the problems of fundamental and applied research in the field of aesthetic transformation of the subject environment, exploring the psychological and pedagogical problems, questions of social communications, objectives of the study of historical and sociocultural processes in Eastern Siberia
